Ready to get Smurfy with Blue Tansy?!

Good morning, tribe!  I just realized I still need to catch you up on some of the new oils that doTERRA released at Convention this past September!

Today we will be focusing on our Blue Tansy Essential Oil. This oil comes from the Moroccan plant Tanacetum annuum and is a cousin to the Roman Camomile plant.

Be careful to not get it on your clothes directly because it has been known to stain from its deep indigo color. However,  if you are into natural dyes, Blue Tansy is a great option for that!  You all know I am a fabric geek, so this really intrigues me.

But don’t worry, you can use it topically with Fractionated Coconut oil and you will be stain free.  If you are going to use this neat on your skin, I recommend doing so overnight to allow the blueish, Smurfy hue to fade away.  You can always use the oil on the bottoms on your feet or somewhere inconspicuous for daytime use.  Unless you like looking like a Smurf.  No judgements here.  I think Smurfs are adorable and Halloween is coming.

Blue Tansy is one of the latest and greatest oils to be released and it is fascinating that it comes from a bright yellow-flowered Mediterranean herb.  Isn’t it interested that this indigo blue oil comes from a yellow flower?

Most of you have probably already experienced the benefits of Blue Tansy as it is a key ingredient in the Deep Blue collection, which we all adore, right?  It has naturally powerful soothing properties that help provide relief after a hard workout. It can provide a wonderful soothing sensation when applied topically with Fractionated Coconut Oil.

It is a great oil to maintain healthily looking skin.  On its own, this oil is perfect for reducing blemishes. Just remember my tip about using it at night!

It is a great help when your mood needs a little extra oomph.  When you feel the need to shake off some bad vibes, try it out in your diffuser, and play around with some combos.  It pairs nicely with woody oils and also essential oils like geranium, juniper, or lavender.  These blends should provide a nice, relaxing and uplifting environment for you.

It also acts as an antihistamine that you can layer with lavender.  Pretty versatile oil, isn’t it?

So when you think of Blue Tansy think eliminating, relieving, and defending!
